Joseph and I (Robert) are brothers, and we both started playing these instruments around the same time. We are pretty much inseparable. Joseph and Daniel met at school. They were already good friends before Daniel joined the band.
Well, I was up in Austin skatin with some old buddys of mine and got some inspiration from just skatin with them. Then I told myself “looks like were goin to be doin this for life”. Then the word lifer just popped to mind; Its something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. So, finally just did it.
Well, I am oficially living back in the McAllen area. All moved into the new pad, with my own office! It feels really good to be back in this area. Anyway, went out to the McAllen park last night with the blader buddies, rode my bike around a bit and took a few photos.
The Valley ‘extreme sports’ scene has been getting a nice chunk of mainstream media attention lately. We got some coverage of the push for a new McAllen skatepark, some video a BMX ’stunt show’ at the Livestock Show, a nice piece on the rollerblading scene and how the local legends are keeping it alive, and a couple videos. I’ve gatherd all the links, and droped them here so you guys wont have to go searching for them. Everybody say ‘Hay!’ for link dumps.
The folks over at Big Brother Skateshop and TRUbmx are getting together and throwing a bit of a BMX pachanga. Expect a good time, some bmx stunt trickery, and some BBQ for some very important persons.

Well I know for the most part we all really love punk rock from hardcore/melodic punk too pop punk we all grew up listening too bands like strung out nofx to descedents and screaching weasels but yeah we all enjoy different types of genres but for the most part we all for sure identify best with punk rock.
Putting our album out for free embraces the places we’d like to see the music industry head towards. Instead of focusing on the cost to hear music, we’d rather invite people to hear the music for free so that way they don’t feel like they…
In case you haven’t heard by now, Radiohead released an album last year called “In Rainbows” that you got to pay whatever you deemed fit for it.
Fast forward a few months later, and after some negotiations with Radiohead…
I know I’m pretty late on this one, but I just found out today. The rad dudes over at the Big Brother shop in Brownsville will be throwing a BMX/Skate/Blade contest at the Brownsville skatepark tomorrow, July 4th.
Registration and practice begin at 3:30pm, and the contest starts at 5:00pm.
